Samantha Vanderslice, MD
Biography
Dr. Samantha Vanderslice completed psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program. She received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2018. During her residency, Dr. Vanderslice helped introduce a Consultation-Liaison initiative to educate different specialties throughout the University of Maryland Hospital about capacity assessments and helped plan a department-wide cultural diversity day event focused on the hidden trauma of addiction within families. Dr. Vanderslice was actively involved in resident wellness initiatives and recruitment at University of Maryland. She also submitted posters to APA and AACAP on feeding disorders and Google web search volumes of common child and adolescent psychiatric diagnoses during COVID-19. Dr. Vanderslice has a special interest in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.
