Natalie Fettinger, MD
Biography
Natalie Fettinger is a graduate of University of California San Diego School of Medicine and also attended UC San Diego for her residency in General Adult Psychiatry. She is originally from Hemlock, Michigan, and attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where she received a degree in Psychology along with Cellular and Molecular Biology. She has been involved in global health projects with the International Women and Infant Sustainable Healthcare Foundation, and for her work, she received the Lola Romanucci-Ross and John Ross Jr. Award in Medical Anthropology. In medical school, she served as a general and neurology manager at the UCSD Student Run Free Clinic. During residency, she was awarded the Gold Humanism Award in teaching and inducted into the society. She has a passion for serving the mental health needs of children and their families, and in particular has interest in autism spectrum disorders, childhood trauma, working with foster youth, and global mental health. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, stand-up paddleboarding, snowboarding, camping, roadtrips, gardening, collecting seashells, and playing with her dog, Lola.
