Humayra Sullivan, MD
Biography
Dr. Humayra Sullivan completed psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan. She received her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She was an active member of the Health Equity and Scholars Program and focused her research on accessibility of medical documents for patients with limited English proficiency. During her fourth year of medical school, she worked with Odyssey Hospice to provide support to actively dying patients. During her residency training, Dr. Sullivan joined the Resident Education Committee, the House Officer Quality and Safety Committee and worked with the American Medical Association on a national service project to teach high school students about depression and mental health care. Dr. Sullivan's research, passion for teaching and dedication to clinical work have been recognized with the Excellence in Community Service Award, the Distinguished Research award and the Supplemental Instructor Award.
