
Nisha Jain, MD
Biography
Dr. Nisha Jain completed her general psychiatry residency at Brown University/Butler Hospital. She received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. In medical school, Dr. Jain had the privilege of working with adolescents in the juvenile detention system on emotional and behavioral control. As the leader of curriculum development, she was able to draw on my past experiences with dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other coping strategies to help develop a curriculum tailored to the needs of the youth. Prior to medical school, she graduated from the University of Michigan with her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She worked at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center’s Innovation and Design team assisting in quality improvement projects for the hospital. Dr. Jain is excited to continuing her child psychiatry training at Brown and loves to read, travel, and explore Rhode Island with her dog, Oreo.
