Biography
Dr. Ka-Lisha Simons was born in Camden, NJ. She attended Rutgers University where she was selected to begin medical school a year early while still pursuing her undergraduate degree as part of the Access-Med program. She was a biology major and earned her bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 2014. She obtained her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2019. She completed her residency in General Psychiatry in June 2022, where she served as the Associate Chief Resident. She started her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship in July 2022. She was also selected for the 2022 American Psychiatric Association Foundation Diversity Leadership Fellowship Program.
