Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship

Jeremy Wortzel, MD, MPH, MPhil, is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow at Brown University. His clinical and research interests center on the environmental determinants of mental health, with a particular focus on how green spaces and climate change shape the ways young people think, feel, and behave. He is especially interested in understanding how the environments in which children and adolescents grow up can influence their mental health, and how nature-based and community-centered approaches can help promote well-being.

Jeremy received his ScB from Brown University in Biology and Geology (and is excited to be back in Providence!), an MPhil in Clinical Research and Experimental Medicine from the University of Cambridge, and his MD and MPH from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his cats, playing guitar around campfires, making things out of wood, and working on art projects with his wife. He is happiest when he can share these simple joys with the people he loves.
