Felicia Parris, MD
Biography
Dr. Felicia Parris was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and completed her education in NY prior to moving to the Ocean State for fellowship. She completed general psychiatry residency at Northwell Health’s Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens, NY. During her residency, she served as Inpatient Chief Resident, participated in both the general resident selection committee, and the admissions equity committee via the resident run social justice and systemic equity group, RiSE. She co-facilitated the Child and Adolescent Dept. book club within her institution and conducted research on the impacts of book clubs on medical education. She received the Brown-Straker C/L award in 2020, was inducted into AOA in 2023, and received Outstanding Graduate of the Year award upon graduation. She obtained her medical degree from New York Medical College in Westchester, NY. Dr. Parris was a part of her medical school’s Student National Medical Association (SNMA) chapter where she served as the Minority Association of Pre-medical Students liaison. In this role, she planned and executed the annual Medical Student for a Day programming during her second year. She graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a B.S. in Integrative Neuroscience and held the position of President of the Rotaract club during her senior year.
