Eryn Yamin, MD
Biography
Dr. Eryn Yamin completed her adult psychiatry residency at Boston Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical certificate from Georgetown University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University where she majored in psychology, with minors in biology and anthropology. She grew up in the suburbs of D.C., in Maryland. In medical school, she enjoyed volunteering as a mentor for the CURE Scholars Program, an afterschool STEM program for middle and high school students in West Baltimore. Also during medical school, she had leadership roles in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine and Occupational and Environmental Medicine student groups. She enjoys immersing herself in and learning from other cultures and values the experiences she had studying abroad in Ecuador as an undergraduate, as well as doing a medical school rotation with the Sonoma County Indian Health Project in northern California. During residency, she completed extra training in trauma-focused therapy, as well in working with transitional-age youth (16-22 years old) with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. Within child and adolescent psychiatry, she has particular interests in childhood trauma, attachment, and mood disorders. In her free time, she enjoys being out in nature, reading fiction, traveling, and knitting.
